“Home” is always special… and some communities deserve recognition of being extraordinary.

CAI-NC honored four such North Carolina communities at the Sept. 16 Community Law Day event in Charlotte:

Landings at Sugar Creek, a waterside multi-unit community in Nags Head managed by Seaside Management, recently completing developer phase-out

The Quorum Center, a 15-srory mixed use condominium residence in downtown Raleigh managed by Talis Management Group

Waterford Master Residential Association, a relatively new coastal resort community of 1010 lots in Wilmington managed by CEPCO

Governors Village, a six-neighborhood diverse Chapel Hill community of 450 acres managed by Talis Management Group

Corolla Light Community Association, a self-managed seaside community in Corolla including 433 residences and an inn over 240 acres, established in 1985.

Each of these community associations surpassed a threshold of total points awarded by a panel of out-of-state judges, all of whom were PCAMs. Points were awarded based on a variety of objective factors, in a newly-redesigned awards program resulting from the work of a dedicated team of volunteers spanning more than two years.
