4:45 Doors Open for Sign-in with Appetizers

Hope Carmichael will open our program, helping you understand the legal risks and issues arriving with springtime activities in our communities. Operating common areas and amenities such as playgrounds, sport courts, pools and clubhouses can present hidden potholes that represent liability for the association. Both volunteer leaders and professional managers will learn how to identify these and steer clear.

6:00 PM Guests from the Triangle Swim Association join us for Cristin's presentation. Cristin illustrates in powerful words and pictures the easily-overlooked realities of child abuse in a community setting. SAFEchild – "Stop Abuse For Every child" – works to educate and raise awareness about the issue of child abuse in Wake County. A principal goal is to stop child abuse from ever occurring, through empowerment of caregivers and parents. The community association environment is an important setting in this effort, and both volunteer leaders and professional managers play an important role in ensuring their families' safety.

6:45 PM Conclusion & Mingle Time with TSA Guests
