Back by popular demand: MANAGER ROUNDTABLES

A Different Kind of Peer Learning Event: Manager to Manager

Afterward we'll enjoy cash-bar adult refreshments if you'd like to stick around!

We know what the professionals advise - but actually doing (or not doing) it can be tricky. Each table will talk shop on each common situation below- vent a bit, then kick around practical tips and share experiences.

Comments from managers participating last year:

"New takes on solving familiar problems- loved it."

"It was really great to discuss these items with other managers who are “in the trenches” with us. Hearing info from attorneys and field experts is great - but hearing practical applications is BETTER."

"Easy format, fun venue, great food and beverages! YES!"

Topics have been carefully focused on areas of community management that don't involve "trade secrets" or competitive sensitivities:

  • Social Media - It drives us all nuts! Rogue Facebook groups, NextDoor complaints, community websites...war stories and sharing small victories when the association isn't in control.
  • Short Term Rentals - With the Republican National Convention this summer, new challenges with private rentals may confront us all. Plus AirBnB & VRBO headaches will likely worse. What's your plan?
  • Aging Infrastructures - What's not covered by the reserve study? Ex. landscaping, plumbing & pipes, sidewalks, local ordinances...sharing experiences with the unexpected.
  • Amendments Trends - "Hot button issues" with governing documents and how amendments can help cool things off - think corporate owners or insurance deductibles. Plus let's talk tips for getting amendments passed.
  • Planning for Practical Problems - There's more to emergencies than the formal protocols for natural disasters. How do associations prepare for no-warning situations such as an active shooter or flooding pipes in the clubhouse, when urgent action is critical?

Attendance earns 1 CEU credit.

IMPORTANT INFO ON EVENT PARKING
A few expressed challenges with parking at Norfolk Hall at the Suffolk Punch last year. We have a designated parking lot directly to the left of our venue with a capacity of 30-40 cars (which will again be marked with a sign and balloons), as well as the Suffolk Punch parking lot to the right of the main Suffolk Punch building with the same capacity. In addition, there is ample street parking along Griffith Street and the adjacent Fairwood Ave. No one should have to walk more than 1/10th of a mile when parking. All parking is highlighted in red on the graphic below. Norfolk Hall, our event venue, is in blue. You may also wish to utilize Charlotte's amazing Lynx blue line, which
has a stop directly behind the Suffolk Punch at the New Bern Ave Station, marked by the yellow dot on the map below.

For this event, we welcome BP attendees as sponsors only (limited to member firms).
At this unique opportunity your team rep literally has a seat at the manager round tables,
rotating through to listen and learn directly from your customers as they share ideas with each other.

Sponsorship includes ONE team member; others are welcome at the concluding social portion.

Additional sponsor benefits: Logo on website calendar page, on reminder email sent to all registrants, tabletop display, 'Sponsor Minute' at the podium, logo in the introductory slide show, onsite signage PLUS an advance copy of the registration list.

Price: $450. ***SPONSORS ARE NOW WAITLISTED FOR THIS EVENT

THANK YOU TO THESE BUSINESS PARTNER SPONSORS:
